Why Botox at Radiant?

Botox injections are very safe and are the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure in the United States. In our clinic, we use only the original Botox - the only treatment of its type approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) - because we believe in using the best for our patients.

Botox is used mainly to eliminate wrinkles on the forehead, brow area and crow's feet around the eyes. It can also contour and slim the face and body, lift and shape the brow, reduce eye bags, tighten pores and improve oily skin.

How does Botox work?

Botox is made of a purified protein that relaxes muscles when injected into them. It is very safe as the action is confined to the muscle injected. Generally, Botox lasts between 6-12 months.

Which areas can be treated?

Frown lines. With natural aging and subconscious frowning, lines develop between the eyebrows, across the central forehead and around the eyes, making eyes look puffy, angry or tired. Botox can create a forehead lift or "brow lift", correcting a drooping browline for a refreshed, youthful appearance.

Crow's feet. Botox smooths and softens the wrinkles at the corners of the eyes that appear when we smile or laugh.

Square jaw reduction. Thick jaw muscles from excessive chewing or teeth clenching can create an overly square jaw. Botox softens the prominent jaw and restores a sharper, more contoured jawline; repeated 3-5 times, the effect can be permanent.

The procedure

Treatment takes only 10-15 minutes. Our experienced doctors will first assess whether Botox - or another treatment - is most appropriate for you.

Depending on the area, 4 to 6 injections are given. Pain is minimal and usually no anaesthesia is needed; any mild bleeding or bruising fades within days. Effects become apparent in 1-2 weeks.

Afterwards, go home and rest; refrain from exercise for 1-2 days and facial treatments for 1-2 weeks. We see you again at 2 weeks to assess the result - if required, a touch-up is done free of charge until you are satisfied.
